In class this week, we will learn about Martin Kearney’s life as an American in Springfield, MA – from his family and friends. We’ll continue our exploration of place and identity and what is ‘home’ and we’ll learn how the Hungry Hill area of Springfield has changed and what the Blasket history, heritage and culture means to this extended community.
This post will serve as a space for sharing reflections on, ideas and inquiries about, and responses to my video interviews with Eleanot Kearney, Sean Cahillane, Marty Kearney, Mike Carney, Maureen Kearney, Brian Kearney, and Ellen Kearney – as well as found resources while cybersleuthing, and during discussions and other research activities.
